- Colossians 3:16
While relationships can be hard, God is a relational God who created us in His image for connection to Him and one another. So we need other believers in our lives and are called to watch out for, encourage, and challenge one another as we grow to be like Him as a body. It is through transparently confessing to one another, and lovingly applying the grace and truth of the gospel to one another that we are able to put to death the lies and patterns of thinking that enslave us. As we grow in developing this kind of grace-filled gospel community, there is safety in opening up more of the dark and hurting places in our hearts to be healed by God's truth.
Developing these types of close-knit relationships is best fostered in small, same-sex groups where you have time to open up and get to know one another's strengths, and weaknesses. We have several of these groups for both men and women at River Ridge.
Women's Connect Time
Currently the women are gathering every Sunday morning at the Grauman's home, where they then break up into smaller groups of ladies. Contact Melody for more information.
The men gather quarterly all together for a time of sharing and encouragment, and there are also smaller groups that meet at various times. Contact Pastor Josh for more information.
